Sushi Ishikawa

This place is certainly an experience. Not your average Omakase. I couldn’t help feelings like eating at Sushi Ishikawa is dinner and a show. Watching Chef Pham concoct each dish is truly stimulating. Between shaving fresh truffles, extracting wasabi straight from the fruit, and delicately placing flecks of gold (yes, gold) as the cherry on top, these courses were almost (but not quite) prettier than they tasted. The Omakase menu includes the following options: $85 for 12 pieces or $125 for 15 pieces. The 15-piece menu offers are more wide array of seasonal fish, and includes (a fantastic) dessert. The drink menu is extensive, the service is impeccable, and the food is a display of the true artistry of cooking. If Omakase means “I’ll leave it up to you”, I will happily leave it up to Chef Pham any day.
